shan. just want to ask u. can u be 100% sure at night cfm nobody
else on the roads? no chance at all? if thats the case how come we
still see news reports of people being knocked down by speeding
drivers at night? want to post car pics here, can. of course we can
appreciate. lots of us have posted here b4. if u go look for it, i
believe there is a thread in Cars from long ago, encouraging
everyone to post their car pics.
but the blunt fact is that, amongst all the Cars regulars who have
been here since 02/03 or even longer, we've always tried to
discourage people from EXCESSIVE speeding, or openly talking about
it. There are impressionable young kids here, who keep getting the
idea is a glamourous thing. Besides, whats the point of posting
your top speeds here? Sure u can say it might not be true, but even
if it were not, whats the purpose? To show off? To make yourself
seem like a 'hero'? Or what? Most other people here like cars as
well, and drive cars that are unbelievably more powerful than u can
even imagine. Just because they frown on speeding on public roads,
doesn't mean they are not car enthuasists. That is a very unfair
label, and other than using it to try to win an upper hand in
trying to talk back to people who have criticised you because of
something wrong u did, I can see no other purpose to it.
finally maybe in real life, all of you are nice people. but u can't
expect to say some nasty or show-offy things here and then expect
people to think u are nice people in real life. Life doesn't quite
work that way does it?
