There are disadvantages to not changing a/c early. The cheaper
planes become more expensive due to inflation. Tech for cheaper
planes become outdated.
Due to inflation, it will cost more to replace planes in the
future than current.
The advantages are of course that planes are better tech,
assuming one can afford the later tech. In MY's case, budget will
drive the procurement.
