this year will be a stressful year for the sec 4s

But school also starts earlier anyway. No difference.

I wonder if SEAB knows that by bringing the O level forward by a week it means,

1) Sec 4s have to go on Study Break 2 weeks earlier
2) Lesser time for teacher to teach
3) MYE ends in 3rd Week of May, Prelim in August, O level is in October !

And don't take the spokewomen's word for it that students won't be too taxed. Reason being,

1) We can have Maths Paper 1 and Paper 2 on same day
2) The papers are too cramped together

And for goodness sake, it's the last examination for the existing syllabus and hence we've more things to study because it will be the toughest paper of the whole syllabus's examinations.

It's common to have 2 papers on the same day. If you re-take Mother Tongue, you may be taking 3 or more papers at one go. MT Papers 1 & 2, plus some other subjects.

You probably won't have lots of break if you re-take MT.

The existing have changed a lot. Starting from the dragon babies batch, English, E Maths and A Maths syllabus have changed.

Starting from the snake babies batch, Social Studies and History syllabus have changed.

Not too sure with the horse babies, I think it's a combination of the dragon and snake batches.

This year, probably everything change. I've heard Chemistry (Combined Science) changes.

It’s a concession; think about it.

but what i don’t understand is that, since this year’s o levels are being held one week earlier, why the fruck are we still having 2 intakes. as in we have to go to jc first for a few weeks in january since that results will be released end of january. then we have to have the second intake which is the confirmed jc. i mean, why is it so? such a waste of time. can’t we just start a single intake. what the fruck is MOE doing this time round. and it’s always the goat year babies being tested out for education system changes. fruck it la.

Looking back.. I think the Os are relatively stress free if you practise consistent work..

Anyway, consistent work only grants you Bs, brillance gets you the As..

So carpe diem..

PS: wait till you come Uni, a A levels every 13 weeks..
