GTF off my thread. I dun need idiots spamming it with pictures that are NOT from where the thread name suggests or with totally useless data.

can i hand over the mantle of lionpwner to herr oberst ?

you do an excellent job of getting the lion to STFU :)

but on a serious note. the chinese DDGs are expected to be travelling with a replenishment vessel. any chance they will stop by at CNB ? its technically an open base.

on a side note, i stay along pasir ris, usually will see regular ship visits on their way to sembawang wharves but not as many as those of you lucky enough to be living at the east coast.

You can always sign-on to the navy if you want to see more. Laughing

hi guys!

I would love to go and watch these ships and shoot some photos but could anyone tell me how to get started? Like where can i see these ships and how do you know when these ships would sail in.

All help greatly appreciated!

East Coast (as east as possible, close to Tanah Merah Ferry Ter) gives a great view of ships entering the S'pore straits to either dock at our ports or go on to Malacca Straits, vice versa.....

soundpunk SG

Thanks very much! How about any idea of schedules? Do you guys sit there and watch for extended periods or do you actually know when the ships are coming in?

Obersturmfuhrer SG

Off topic but still relevant to your interests. Because I can :)

And the idiot better not put any of his madness in here.

Obersturmfuhrer SG

JMSDF Ships heading for the Indian Ocean today.

JDS Akebono (DD 108), a Murasame class Destroyer

Followed by the JDS Tokiwa (AOE 423)

OK, I'm at a loss as to what this is. Only clue I have is the big 5 on her starboard side bow. Can't really make out the fluttering flag.

SBS2601D SG

isn't it the IMDEX period now?

Seems like a good chance to see foreign warships that call upon us.

Obersturmfuhrer SG

On another note, I'm still waiting for an ID to this one. Looks very similar to the Oliver Hazard Perry class but not on target.

SBS2601D SG

Totally totally unlike the OHP class.

Obersturmfuhrer SG

Totally totally unlike the OHP class.

Yes yes yes, then what the hell is it?

tek_koh SG

posted my guess previously,

it seems to be on sea trails as you can see there are no proper fittings of guns or radar. A clearer picture on the pennant number would help. but it looks like a heavily modified version of the Indonesian Ki Hajr Dewentra (364)
