Never tried SMG, but i've test driven a few Alfa's selespeed
(156, 147, GT). Use to think the Selespeed was great till I tried
DSG! The gear shift so fast (0.2sec!! faster then most ppl can
manage with their manual boxes) In auto mode, drives as smooth as
most autoboxes. I was totally impressed.
At 1st I did not think too much of the Golf and was looking at the
manual 6-speed Renault RS. But after a short "Golfing" session
along Jerovis rd.. RS is history..
