Why this Lamborghini has no gearbox?!!!!

I read that these fast cars use paddleshift as opposed to manual to reduce the reaction time. But why not auto gearbox then? I took a peek inside the car ....

because while it is convenient for driving esp in urban conditions, auto boxes can be very irritating when u want to drive at a more frantic pace. Auto boxes are fully dependent on the car's computer to tell it when to change, while paddle shifts lets u decide when to shift, without the hassle of needing to operate the clutch.

I think there was an article on SMG etc... in a BMW mag a while ago and they tested it against a manual shifter, although the SMG2 that they tested was supposed to be faster than the manual, in a real world situation, the manual car was faster than the SMG.

Still can't be the feel of shifting stick and working the clutch... now that takes skill to do right.. SMG whilst good and I do appreciate what it offers, sometimes can dull the driving experience. Manual for me...
