Why would you want to TC a TS? Its pretty risky; no i’m not trying to diss you or anything. It would be better off spending the $84K for the real WRX.

i haf heard of some importing 2.5L engines onto their TS. both methods are illegal though. i think it would be better for u to buy a rex straight. the cost and hassel just arent worth it.

Never heard it before, turbo works from the exhaust and it happens when the turbo spools at a certain RPM and then you get your boost. The only way you can of your turbo is when you off your engine. Wink

its nt experience...its a fact....i doubt it can hit close to 140BHP even if turboed...most prob the enginr is gonna shake itself to pieces

honestly, wouldn't it be cheaper to get a WRX? u would need to beef up the engine and install more components if u want to install a turbo. In the end it would be cheaper to get a stock WRX. and it comes with a warrenty somemore? It wouldn't make sense to TC a TS, and if u cannot afford a WRX i dun see how u can afford to buy a TS and then TC it.

U can always swap out some parts and badges to make it look like a TS after that.

No lar just clarifying, cos my friend was like so dead sure that there was a switch to turn on and off the turbo. in my head i went... i tot turbo uses the exhaust to turn the turbines.... then if the turbo is off... wun the blades like jam up the exhaust causing backpressure?

DCCD? is it like traction control? (maybe i read wrongly... please enlighten me)

Beside the TC engine, WRX suspension used is also different from a saloon 1.6 TS.

TC an 1.6 TS is not worth the $$$.

Appreciate your answer on both technical & financial feasibility, but don't jump to conclusion that he can't afford to buy one.

Nobody is saying we think the thread starter cannot afford a WRX. we're just saying if someone cannot afford a WRX, hes not going to be able to TC a TS properly, and if someone can afford to TC a TS properly, then might as well get a WRX.
