Woman to rule men in China's new tourist
town

No, this is not prison or a TV series. This might just become a
tourist attraction in China. Chinese tourism authorities in China
are seeking investment to build the world's first ''woman's town,''
where men get punished for disobedience, reported Reuters.
The concept is based on the culture of the Longshuihu village in
the Shuangqiao district of Chongqing municipality which is also
known as ''woman's town''.
''Traditional woman dominate and men have to be obedient in the
areas of Sichuan province and Chongqing, and now we are using it as
an idea to attract tourists and boost tourism, '' a tourism
official told Reuters.
The independence reported that at the gate leading into the town,
men will be greeted with a slogan saying: Woman are never wrong;
men can never refuse their needs.
Any man foolish enough to debate this point can be punished by
kneeling on a hard board or being forced to do the washing up in a
local restaurant, the report added.
There will be special courts set up, with judges who can order male
tourists to be whipped if they FAIL to fulfil their partner's
wishes for chocolate, or perfume, or anything at
all.
But transgressors can relax knowing that the 'whip' is gentle and
won't hurt very much.
The project, which started in the end of 2005, is expected to take
three to five years to finish.
The tourism bureau planned to invest between 200 million yuan ($26
million) and 300 million yuan in infrastructure, roads and
building, the Reuters report added
