Do you feel that it is harder to get into poly now?

Yours is as exception, depending on the school's offer of subjects combinations. I'm not saying all is like that, but majority of people who are eligible for...

798 SG

actually u r wrong. poly students wif relevant diploma are entitled for direct entries to 2nd year to uni, comparing to jc students who need to go to 1st year.

browniebaobao SG

did u fail any of ur subjects?

I went in ITE with 19 points.

What to do?

If people with lower cut-off point wants to enter poly what can you do? Stop them? Force them to go to JC?

Its like rich man want go to Kopitiam eat. They go there take up the seats and eat there but then what to do? Force them must go restaurant eat ah?

Unless you can give a really good alternative, then perhaps the only way is to get better grades. Since everyone is improving then so must we.

I reckon this is a very clear and early indication to the young ones that living in singapore is not a piece of pie as they will face similar tasks at hand when employed, so if you don't shape up, ship out. Laughing

ironpeasant SG

it is much much harder to enter uni than poly. Mr. Green

correct wad, 2 years in JC den add together is 13 years, if go poly (which is 3 years) means u will need 14 years lo~

actually it is the same:

2 years jc + 4 years uni = 6 years

(unless u opt for different course)

hiphop2009 SG

The education system here has never compromise anything. True, for Sports School, but you still have to pass English, Maths and Science. You can get a low score (say 158 for PSLE, but if you are good at Sports, you can still enter on that criteria, provided you pass the 3 mentioned subjects)

Gaara* SG

i also couldnt belive at first when my friend told me he got in into rp with 28 pts failing maths n science .. but after he showed mi his enrolment letter .. i was like Shocked

jianfish9 SG

Sad and cruel truth is if you don’t do well in your studies then too bad.
