use internet banking.

transfer to different banks take 2-3 working days.

free.

chequing account $2 per month bo hua lah.

use a credit line account. dbs now offering one with annual fee waived permanently.

ATM can transfer between posb and dbs. OCBC and UOB's atm also can intertransfer.

1) cash deposit m/c
UOB take in $2, $5, $10........
jz key in the account no of the person u want to transfer to. no need atm card.

2) internet banking.
will take around 3 working days for diff bank transfer.
most online buying used this option.
but u have to tell the seller that u will be using this option cos it will take a longer time for the money to reach her since today is friday aldy...

3) go to the bank to deposit.
have to go during bank operation hours & gonna wait in the long q. troublesome.

seller dont have to have internet banking account for u to transfer the money to him. as long as u have activated ur internet banking will do.

$18 can use cash deposit m/c.. i try b4 cos i dont have UOB account too.

otherwise another way is.... ask ur frnz who have internet banking to help u transfer the money to the seller.. & u return the money to him by posb/dbs ATM transfer or cash.

good.. but rem to bring more $2 & $10 notes.. cos i realise UOB deposit m/c is a bit out from technology as compared to DBS/POSB/OCBC... they will reject ur note even if there is nothin wrong with it..

your notes must be fresh from another atm hah. i faced similar problem when depositing cash on posb/dbs cash depositing machine with notes fresh from other bank atm. all i did is trash/fold/crumble the notes and bingo, it works!

good luck! maybe you can negotiate for a 50% deposit payment first and pay the remainder when the goods arrived. who knows, the vcds might be damaged. just a suggestion.

oh boy.. i used to think that way too, thus missing out on the convenience for a couple of years. with the implementation of 2fa (second factor authentication), may i ask what's holding you back?

Nothing is holding me back... only thing is I need to settle what I don't know.

I don't know my bank account number. Plus, my account is shared with my mother, cannot suka suka go online buy things and pay with it. I will be killed.

Once I graduate and get a job, I open my own personal account then say...
