digital warfare

hi,

I am often in awe whenever they showed the best technology in modern warfare in discovery channels..

however, I noticed that everythings seems to have one common factor, satellies..

Just for interest's sake, if US were to go up against China, I don't believe China will allow US to launch tomahawks (their most desired weapons) or to use their "digital" warfare .. and one good way is to disable the satellies..

Unsure whether this is feasible or too difficult a task? Any experts?

One of the biggest threats is denial access challenges. If China shoots down enough GPS satellites, then alternative targeting technology is required to successfully hit the target. This issue has been discussed routinely on uscc.gov who monitors china affairs. One can also read the annual pentagon's reports to congress on China.
