Where did I mention Defence White Paper 2008?
Oz gavaman will release it later this year.\
More on oz sub--
good news for SG sub crews and would be emgirants to oz
I think u can become oz PR pretty fast if u join ADF.Good
$$!!(1)
The Navy Capability Allowance, worth $112.6million over five
years, was approved in April with immediate effect and pays
submariners $60,000 for an extra 18-month extension of
service.
Current
capacity of the 2 subs
Currently,2 out of 6 subs can sail. But we dunt know the
capacity of the two subs.
Have RAN declared any oz sub reaching Full Operational Capacity?
Even they reach FOC, the fighting capacity of Collins class
return back to 2002!
Why?Because in 2002 ,only 2 subs' Combat System is ''passable''
out
of 5 Commissioned Collins .(2)
I think u cant make good use of any sub if your Combat Sys
cant work.
'' Gulfstream
AWACS are 2nd rate compared to the Wedgetail''
Well.My poor knowledge cant discuss with u experts here.
Israel,a country in war for few decades, also choses this
platform.
So,they also think this can prorect their air.
There is a good chance that SG will pick PHALCON,(3)
Singapore has not released further details about the electronic
and radar suite to be installed in the aircraft, the only system
currently available for this platform is the Israeli PHALCON radar,
developed for four Israel Air Force G550 AEW aircraft known as
Eitam, currently being delivered by
IAI/Elta
Besides,i think the aerodynamic of Gulfstream is slightly better
than Wedgetail.
The radar/antenna of Wedgetail seem will consume more fuel.
i am not expert like u.So i dunt know the reality.
i just look at the picture.
But we shall not just look at any single point to determine
which one is,in OVERALL,better!!

''Wedgetail over Sydney''
But i want to know why it take so long for Wedgetail
put into services after the first platform rolled out in late
2002?(4)

Operationally, the submarines have performed well, despite only
two boats working with a passable combat system.
