gigabyte14 SG FINALLY! good for you. now, about my problem... seems that peer influence is what's happening now, my cousin's been brainwashed to christianity by her friends... and then, she still have the cheek to declare "proud christian" on her blog, which i knew that all she ever done is to go to activities, making friends only, and such... it's like they think that christianity is just like a free membership to a country club.
Ignatiaus SG I admit i was born and raised a christian Thru the first 15 years of my life i lived as any christian would but soon i began thinking for myself. Then in the later years i discovered that most christians i knew were not acting like they should. Then i finally realized i was living the same way. i was living a lie. I'm not condemning christianity as a religon but i do respect it. I didn't want to lie to myself anymore so i renounced it. As i wasn't a decent as a christian. Basically i don't mind christians who are devoted. But Christians who act devoted for other selfish means is to me very deceitful. Any "christians" who defend these pharisees are themselves fallen in folly. Learning to accept yourself and not living a lie is probably the most christian thing i've ever done.
hao_hao SG going to church doesnt make u a christian ..... u r jus visiting .... to be a christian .. is u have to stay in the church n follow the vision of the church n grow in terms of spirituality ..... ppl who r influenced by frens into christianity r not really strong chrsitians ..... when they meet problems later in their lives .. they will stop going to church ..... yes a church can let u broaden ur social circle .... but tats jus the church only ...... christianity is a whole lot different thing .... going to church n staying in the church are also 2 differemt things .... if u say u r a christian but u don read the bible n pray .... u might as well say u r not a christian
Ignatiaus SG LRN2SPELL & LRN2USEGRAMMAR Then tell me... Why are there so many types of churches? Catholic, Protestant, Evanglist, Anglican, Zionist, etc WHICH ONE OF THESE IS THE REAL ONE? If you say its yours you're a hypocrite as no one can really say for sure nor can you prove otherwise

TXian SG Hmm...this thread seems to have side tracked...But I remember the time when she started going to the US to futher her career, she said: Now i wan to to show others that it is based on my own hard work and not because of my church"... HA-HA.... Anyway, about CHC, i heard and saw for myself ALOT of stories and things that made me think if they are reli a church or some dunno wat trying to squeeze their member's dry... I was told of a member who didn't attend service cuz he was mugging for an upcoming exams..The next thing, his cell group mate called and demanded, mind you, demanded is the word, to his absentism...So he said, he had to study for his exam. His group mate started preaching about being loyal and faithful to god. And he asked the poor guy if his exams are more important than god. He even made the guy choose between his exams and God...The guy was like Time management aside, true loyalty to your faith comes from within the heart and not how often you go to the church and participate. There are so many in CHC just goes there to have "fun"... I really question those who dip into this without first looking carefully what they are getting themselves into..

noahnoah SG whether one go church for watever reason no need to answer to anyone or cares who think wat is your reason of going in the end only need to answer to one ......... that is God I mean no point argue of wat Sun ho do is it in the interest of herself or for others I mean if we need to dig out all this stuff then there are millions of ppl steal , rob , rape and commit worse crimes you can even imagine so are we going to publish each and every one of them in the news and forum?
