nice theory but the opposite actuali happens as well...for example the guy treats her well all the time...so the first time he makes mistake after some time she wuld think its juz mood swings or what so ignores it n so continues to think he is good...this is true for those 'players' who get bored of their mates after dating them for some time...they start losing the thrill of dating=x

Unconsciously, they like such guys, so they just like to be like that, nothing you should do about it. If they really don't want to be in such a situation, there is nothing you need to do about, they will just choose not to be in such a situation in the first place. Ironic, wasn't it?

well, after prolong exposure to these friends.. i have come to accept this characteristic as a type of mindset.. and as a friend.. i have to accept whatever they feel is right for themselves. and all i can do is stand by them.. in times when they are down..

but againz..
i hate to hear them whinning after a while.. its always the same old story. annoying!

So there is no way we could convince our friend to understand the big picture ya?

In the first place - when she is trap ? she is not physically trap in cage or what , she can any time stop it. It is mental, she just keep telling herself she is trap - she is just trap by fear of the unknown. What will happen if she break the relationship. Sometime do not thing so much just take a step at a time, just walk out of the cage - that is step 1 . ... without step 1 , you will never know step 2 or 3.
