Hi ^VioS^. You're rite. Latio don't do so well in the looks dept, just a wee bit better only compared to Honda City, IMHO. Laughing But the interior is roomy. In fact, a friend who was with me when I test drove commented that he had lots of legroom. He also said that he was almost expecting to have a tray in at the back of the seat in front of him .. like in an airplane. Smile

the vios isn't as bad as wat most ppl would expect from a thai made car. i've a few personal frens driving that car, longest being almost 3 years liao and the car still performs just as well. spare parts are also cheap and available, something quite the opposite for jap models.

fc for the latio is only a slight improvement compared to its notorious predecessor. i wouldn't say that its anything to shout about. 10km/l is not something uncommon with the latio. but with a maid, u'd suffer with the lacklustre rear leg room of the vios.

Thanks for the input letstwistagain. My OC & myself is considering the Latio. Not the Sunny though coz I prefers Auto and have heard fairly poor fuel consumption for the Auto Sunny. Rolling Eyes

How I wish we can have it all.. cheap (Vios pricing), reasonably good looks (Civic/Lancer), spacious (Latio) and of course good fuel consumption (Vios/Jazz). Wink If only.. Laughing

i myself also looking at the new 2006 vios..but its not advisable to get it now as alot of stuffs are still lacking from BM. i believe if u enter the market for it next yr say..ard march, they should haf the bodykits ready wif the car..but if bodykits arent ur concern, u can go for it anytime. i'm just waiting for the dust of the coe to settle and more goodies(aftermaket ones) to come in for the new vios hence i can mod it! but if u haf a big family, then vios might not be the car for u. hehe. Mr. Green nissan latio is quite a gd buy..at $59k, i would say its more worthing then TS. actually the new facelifted honda city looks gd..it has its ugly features removed and it looks like a mini civic to me..gd space(wif ultra seats where u can fold up!) & decent fc! at the same price of impreza TS, u get to enjoy the power of vtec! haf a gd thought bro. its a long term committment.

congrats..at that price latio is definitely a good buy if you like the looks

the legroom..you'll be surprised that its larger than most 1.5..check out the spacious boot too..

engine respose is more significant as compared to sunny and FC is comparable to Altis (i heard ave 12km/l)

2 things i dn like abt latio

1) the looks (exterior)
2) the tall seating position, i guess new cars nowadays are made this way..eg jazz, altis..they give you a 'taller' feel
