Why use lethal force unnecessarily ?
Shame on you for being trigger happy towards other peoples that
are different from your own ethnicity - surely the mentality of
your types have changed as we continue in this 21st Century, or are
you still locked in the backward thinking of the ancient calendar
?
Should the Malaysian Police also shoot the Anwar supporters
shouting ''Reformasi'' in downtown Kuala Lumpur ?
Compared to the ethnic riots in 1969, the
present Malaysian Police Force - at least in the Federal
Territories of Kuala Lumpur today - has shown itself to
be more even handed when dealing with the other ''minority'' ethnic
groups in civil unrest situation.
Compared to the Malaysian Police personnels in the other states,
who are more trigger happy and leading to innocent lives lost,
those in the Federal Territories have shown more restraint and has
less mistaken identity shooting.
The Malaysian Police showed remarkable patience even in the
situation when some Islamic Religious Fanatics had
disguised themselves as MAF colonel and personnels - to
raid an Army Camp to steal M-16s from its armoury - with
the Malaysian Police Force negotiating for their surrender without
a shot fired despite the amount of weapons and ammunition
stolen.
To the credit of the Chinese Provincial Government of Tibet, its
police force did not use lethal force during and
throughout the uprising; until the news report of
30 April 2008 - when it was reported that the
Chinese Police in Tibet had to use lethal force when
gun fire was actually directed at them, resulting in the killing of
one Tibetan rebel and the arrest of some other conspirators.
