HA! I so long nvr go Hougang Mall that I dun even noe closed liao..... Anyway, good thing la, cuz my bf spent alot of money there le......tsk tsk...

Tomorrow will be the last day of operation for Hougang Mall's Zone X outlet...

When it first opened 8 years ago, it far won the then arcade at Hougang Plaza... It initially moved from being mainly ticket redemption outlet, to one without ticket redemption machines few years later... 2 years ago, it underwent a renovation where by 1/2 of the arcade is taken away by Asia Mall Management and it opened Pretty Pix to house NeoPrints Machines and Toy Catchers... Come 21st March, it will be the centres last day of operation... Zone X, Pretty Pix will close for good... The staff will be relocated to different centres and temporary staff will be dismissed...

FYI - NTUC Club have already closed. They're clearing their furniture thru a sales

From my understanding, the whole area currently housing Zone X, NTUC Club and Pretty Pix will be torn down to make way for food establishment...

My purpose of starting this thread is to find out if there's any supporter for this outlet despite it being neighborhood one...

Personally I'm sad to see it go... Afterall, I've been a regular at this arcade for as long as it existed and the bond with the staffs is present... My best impression of Zone X friendly customer service also begins there...

I doubt so... Reason being, WhiteSand Shopping Centre is going to have a new Zone X unit come April, and it's under the same management as Hougang Mall...

I'll say Hougang Mall is going to be a 'troublesome' place to visit for those parents who're used to putting their child at Zone X while they shop in peace...

NTUC Club, which manages Zone X, has realigned its business model, thus will be gradually closing down the existing outlets when their leases expire in due time…

Actually, NTUC Club Investments (NCI) is a subsidary under NTUC Club, and Zone X is under NCI... Wink
