If you only retake in 2008 and don't perform well enough, be it
for your own standards or by university admission standards, you
will no longer have a chance to take the 'A' levels based on the
old syllabus.
So obviously don't wait until 2008.
I say, take it asap while the syllabus is still relatively fresh in
your mind.
