Hmm speaking of this, my uncle came to my room that one night and complained to me about 'worms in eggs'.

Then I smelt the stench and the smell is just so horrible. >__>

I shut my door immediately and sprayed perfume all over my room. >__<

Pfft! They blame their customers! People don't inspect eggs the way they do with fruit. They could've been broken during transportation or when they're handled by the store assistants. Rolling Eyes

I've bought rotting century eggs before as well. But there's no stench till I opened the packaging. Was given full refund.

However, I do like to highlight that there's a possibility that these eggs are broken by the consumers themselves un-noticed.

It's not fair to rule out mistakes by the people handling the foodstuff before the consumer buys it, as they have with their reply.

If it's the top/front few cartons which had the rotten eggs, fine. But what if they're also in the lower ones?

I agree and I personally witness some inconsiderate customers's behavior. When they decided not to buy that particular item, instead of taking it back to the right section or the least bring it to the cashier and telling them don't need it anymore, they just leave it wherever they came upon. So sometimes you see raw products like the seafood or meat IN THE detergent section (If they walked by there) or worse in the diapers department. So, yes I do blame the customers.

A supermarket could only do so much. Everyone has a role to play whether the customers or the supermarket. Keyword - BE CONSIDERATE! AND DO YOUR PART!

NTUC standard really drop alot.... things ain't dat cheap n fresh any more. if u wanna cheap n fresh, i suggest u go Giant or Sheng Shiong. further more, u dun see staffs standing ard or being alert in NTUC. but in Giant, the stffs r very alert n they even choose the eggs for u IF dey have the time, that is. but most of the time, they stand there is to watch lor. esp the eggs stacks. ive seen 1 lady, shld be ard early 30s, felt digusted by eggs (WTF?) n they way she held the tray os eggs is like dey gonna bite her or smtng... consumers lke her, or some other auntie who practically throw the trays while choosing r bound to break those poor eggs.

everyone shld do their part n i feel dat Ms Malinee is wrong to push the blame to consumers totally.
