Singapore still using the old green army backpack or Now using MOLLE backpacks ???

Depends on which unit you are in? All new recruits are being issued the new MOLLE equipment but for cost and practical purposes I don't think older units will be supplied with these. Not much difference in comfort between the old backpack and the new MOLLE packs though, after they sacrificed the ALICE frame that was supposed to come with the pack.

Yea i know 6 years ago our SBO was something like the ALICE set....

But now i see our army is getting stuff more like the US counteparts....Or MOLLE Sets....

To a certain extent yea... our field packs are really more of an ALICE type with some MOLLE retrofitted on. I would estimate that we are about 15 to 20 years behind the US in terms of personal equipment. From what I hear though, those who used the SBO and switched over prefer the SBO because it is much cooler :P but that is going to be a moot point once we use body armour regularly.

actually...The Field pack you can get in Penisula..Level 2...Theres a shop specialized in army backpacks...

That time i went there i saw a Desert Camo...MOLLE Level 3....Backpack...

If not you can try order from ebay on the net...They have ACU Camo MOLLE level 3 GI backpacks...The Actual ones used in iraq

Oh yea ! I Remember....I went Chiang Mai during my Secondary 3 OBS....We went to the Thailand commando camp and stayed there for some adventure thingy..

We tried their parachute Equpiment...

And when we went hiking up the mountains...We were issued Alice Frames and Alice backpacks together....

Uncomfortable stuff with the A frame on....
