Another trick to get rid of the 'knocking' sound from altis brake. Find a road w/o cars, speed up and jammed brake a few times. After few sessions the sound will go away. Cool

Hi is me again, but it actually gone off after 40km/h not 20km/h. Is it still due to the brake booster. But is accelerator when i step not brake ler. How come is cause by brake booster. But no regret buying altis really, shiok shiok, quite, smooth.....

I would advise to Tint the headlight black then place a eyelid upon it .. it will look damn cool ... btw which year one?

for 2000 - 2002 ones change ur level 1 lights to some bright whitish blue then on ur fog lights ... it will look damn fierce at night ... esp the size and the front face ... Idea Wink

Cars of all make have some problems waiting for you to discover. The matter is more or less only.

As for Altis here are some common problems:

1) Brake booster valve (rattling sound under steering)
2) Leather seats (squiky sound)
3) Aircon vent (loud wind sound after 3K RPM)
4) Brakes (knocking sound)
5) Windows (wind sound after 110km/h)

Yeah man, I just realised that the rear forg lights is only ONE (right side) and when reversing... only ONE (left side) light is light up.

The SE never inform me about this "One Eye Jack" features!!

Not as easy as it sounds...

You need to remove the instrument cluster, If you are removing it.. be careful as it is attached by a plastic screw plug.
Unscrew the back panel of the cluster and you will find a buzzer(beeper).
Use a piece of rubber foam to cover the buzzer. The sound will lessen.

I use those air-con pipe insulation (round) to wrap round the buzzer and another smaller piece to cover the opening.

What type of activities are you thinking of? Idea

I've been to a number of meet-up with TCS on friday nites. Usually during the meet ups, we just chat and meet the real person that is on the forum. The meetup is also for new member to register.

The committe is always open to new suggestions and activities to organise for their members.
Sometime they organise drive (not speeding ah) round the island (at nite 'cause less traffic).

I think they will be organising a day time leisure drive to a seaside resort in Johore for lunch in the future.

Running a club not easy leh.. need help and support from members to organise events for members. Smile
