Vanquish SG Anybody felt anything at Tampines? i was moving around tampines working but didn't felt anything, onli received calls from relatives and friends about the quake. actually ard 10 plus city hall, raffles hotel or westin stamford hotel already felt the tremors, and tourists were evacuated.. tht was the earliest in singapore i suppose.
finoq SG My father just came back, he confirmed strong tremors in NP. He was working (facing a computer screen) when he felt that it was difficult to focus what he was reading. Again, the symptoms given were ‘dizziness’. All the people in the block also felt it, and they left the building via staircases (after saving all their work on the computers)
aloof_guy SG Felt the tremors at school. very strong. entire school evacuated and dismissed. felt dizzy when it happened lol.
ninefold9 SG Fortunately the quakes hit Padang, which is very far away from Singapore. Although far we still feel the tremors Just imagaine what would happen if the same magnitudes hit Dumai, also on Sumatra, but very near to S'pore. View this map on the location of Dumai: http://www.caingram.info/Sumatra/Smtra-htm/sumatra-map.htm If yesterday's quakes hit Dumai, maybe all of us are 6 feet underwater by now. We are given another lifeline
ninefold9 SG Maybe it's Mother nature's way in expressing her anger with the manners farmers in Indonesia have been indiscriminately burning up virgin forests there. The decades of burning up forests in Indonesia have taken away many innoncent lives, polluting the atmosphere in the region and cost the loss of million of $$$$ It's payback time Will you wake up to learn your lessons I don't think so today you may cry & wail over your losses when tomorrow come, you forget everything And start burning your life & the lives of others away Do you think you really deserve help from others?
