nonsense! That korean cars have poor reliability is a myth. I am
driving kia rio. Excellent. Vibrating dashboard? My sister's
corolla vibrate worse than my rio! Somemore, her corolla pickup
very slow. I wouldn't say mine is fast, cos i am driving 1.4L
manual(sis is auto).
I am trying to be fair here. Since my rio is the new model, I can't
say much abt cerato(which is an old model). But I suggest you try
the new rio, THEN you compare the vibration of cerato and see the
difference. I can only say the new rio is damn quiet.
As for fuel comsumption, again, it is a myth that korean cars are
heavy drinker. Read other threads that complain abt sunny FC and
read the mit forum on FC. The drivers are also saying it is high.
Japanese cars that have good FC are toyato and honda. Other japs,
not necessary. My FC is 12km/Lit(abt average for most cars), for a
new 2500km mileage car. Matrix is notorius. Cerato, I could say is
abt same as mine since I also is member of kia forum and read of
their FC.
Reliability wise, people say korean cars develop many problems
after 2-3 yrs of usage. Which car dun develop problems after
2-3years?
So my advice is go and test drive. Personally, I also find cerato
very nice, except that it is too executive like. I was looking for
youthful style cars, so I choose rio.
Futhermore, dun forget the low cost of korean cars, especially
cerato, which come with airbags and many other features. The 5k you
saved can be used for 1-2years of petrol. Can also use it to
install solar films. Trust me, you would want to install one if you
drive frequently in the day time. Good films like vcool or 3M cost
near to 1k already. Somemore, the 5k saved means less interest to
pay. Think about all the good points.
