Yea why not? A fake monk would just use his convenience to buy 4D when he passes the shop... he wouldn't bother travelling miles away back to his place to ch...

Of course if a monk/nun is going to china he has to take the aeroplane but if he's travelling in singapore, public transport should be the means of travel.

walao. monks are oso humans right? they can enjoy the stuff mankind gives but as long as it doesnt violate what the religion prohibits them to do.. i suppose buying ipod and taking a taxi doesnt kill neither is it a sin.

Isn't the purpose of being a monk is to attain enlightment? That means mediating and not letting yourself get distracted. Monks rely on donations and they should be thrifty when using it.

Buying 5 boxes of Ipod accessories is not justified. Public transport is efficient in our country and i see no need to taking a taxi.

Maybe it's time for transparency on the things that these religious people are doing.
Even churches have to be accountable, so what about these? I would very much like to know where those 5 ipods go to.
btw, I saw a nun going to a $2 store and looking through lunchboxes and stuff. Wonder what she was intending to do, maybe buying presents for needy children? That would be understandable. But 5 Ipods are just not logical for gifts.

sorry just to correct you it was 5 Ipod accessories. Not the normal type though, it was boxes. So must speakers etc. Still they value more than $300 to me.

With the recent charity scams, its time for temples to be transparent abt their budget as well.
