haha. straight through.. my auto tranny will suffer.. so didnt do.. but straight through is very loud.. sometimes wld like a quiet drive.. was recommended to do a semi-flow and a 4-2-1.. full operation from manifold.. extractor.. cat.. but too expensive.. rather spend more on cosmetics.. the 2 performance upgrades i haf is enuf already..

now dunno if i shld lower my ride.. later kena jialat will heart pain..

my GruppeM is already louder than wat i expected already.. + my sebrings at the back.. cant imagine those milo tin type.. need ear plugs.. :p

i havent tried MAN.. anyway.. haf to go back to FK also.. cuz my warranty under him.. but i think FK is slightly cheaper (for Remus) bcoz FK is remus official dealer? im not sure..

they drill holes in ur muffler lor.. i dunno how many holes or how big the hole is.. but stock muffler can be very loud or mild.. depends on ur neighbour's preference..

i think u can DIY... go to some techforums and search for DIY methods/tips.. follow the steps.. and u'll haf ur sound..

but u better know wat u do b4 u meddle with it..

some pple ask me bout the open pod i have.. i told them "GruppeM".. they don seem to know wat is it.. most of them ask me y don i install K&N or Simota or hurricane..

the part about making open pods or not, im not sure.. but it seems they do? cuz ive one right under my hood..

lowering your ride should be ok unless you already have bodykit installed then have to watch out for your humps...straight thru muffler you can have different sounds... from low bass to high pitch... then if you do your IHE... your whole exhaust system must relocate....

What is he, a ricer?? Dun want to mod ANYTHING (not even air filter and exhaust) then want car to be loud during acceleration? Don't play all this kind of useless things la.

If he want, can remove entire muffler lor. Rembr, that's illegal.. fine $500. But like tat considered no nid 'mod' anything, just remove.

if he got guts also remove entire air filter system, induction sure louder. If don't want to do all this yet want loud, ask him go home sleep suah. His snoring should be loud.

An Extractor, is a tool a dentist use to pull out your rotton tooth.

But in cars, it's also called a header, which basically allows quick output of super heated exhaust coming out of your cylinder block.

apparently, im getting pretty good FC... further still im on 18" and also on mineral oil...

dunno y pple say FC affected badly..

my personal field report (on mineral oil):

70% highway 30% urban : 590km (59.68 litres of petrol) 10km/L
50% highway 50% urban: 490-520km..

heavy footed.. 450km (59.XX litres of petrol)

i believe with full syn i shld be getting slightly better results bcoz of the thinner and lighter oil..

agreed, open podding dont affect your FC.. it is your right foot that affects it…

actually infact i believe it improves ur FC!

all air intake system is to serve a similar purpose.. to allow more cold air to be induced by the engine.. or a more unrestrictive flow of air.. so that u have power on demand and also an EFFECTIVE combustion (not saying the cars now don combust fuel properly)..

i believe the reason y most pple feel that open pod uses more petrol is bcoz of the nice growl it produces.. (i know la.. it feels damn blardy shiok la.. especially at high RPM).. we tend to be more heavy footed as we wanna hear the sound produced by it..

on the first day of installing my gruppeM, i can tell u that my first 2 gear change was no lesser than 6000rpm.. especially when im in the tunnel...

but after getting used to the sound and looking at the petrol $$.. i decided to drive per normal and FC was infact the same.. or slightly better (10-20km more).. but then again.. cannot really compare unless cetirus paribus...
