Additional weight does not means just engine power will do, the suspension and ground pressure may need to be addressed as well. More weight mean suspension...

2. Every section has 2 LAW Gunners, I don't need a platoon of them.
3. The sh!t must be pretty bad for us if we encounter malaysian armor without ours.

If he's talking about the 45 degree tilted protrusion from the Adnan...i have frankly no idea since the sights are below the gun. Maybe if he really wants to know he can go find out..there are a few part by parts recognition guides out on the web and tell us after heh.

yes the original metal was actually WWI and German melt the metal and recast to Panzer and it was left over in the Pole after WWII and they convert it to what is it today.

Could these be 2nd World War tanks which Poland was trying hard to dispose off with huge discount offers.

At one time M'sia was expressing interest in acquiring them but citing lack of fund. They even talked about paying through installments and supplementing the deal with vast supplies of M'sia's palm oil.

If indeed these are World World II tanks, there is a possibility that they were built with Russian technology. The weaponry technology is out-dated for use today. Furthermore, they were meant for cold climatic European countries - O Kay for cold countries like Poland but not hot tropical countries in S.E. Asia.

Bringing them over to M'sia, the military engineers may need to come out with a solution to install cool air-conditioning system, or else soldiers inside the tanks will be barbequed to death. Mitsui air-cond system from Protons can be considered.

In cutting down costs, some wise nuts might consider reconfiguring the system in such a way that cheap palm oil can be used in place of the more expensive high grade petrol to power the tanks. After all M'sia is known as one of the world's biggest exporters of palm oil.

Hopefully these tanks will not leak in water, like those in which ex-president Habibe purchased out-dated World War II tanks from Germany. On its maiden journey to Indonesia some of these tanks leaked in water and reportedly sunk into oceans.

Be sure that these tanks won't end up as museum pieces

any way that thing were not called AFV but ACV. And no..its got nothing to do with IFV either.

The IFV were not called ADNAN and it is a South Korean made vehicles.

this thing is to fullfill the combine arm division that they were transformed in to right now. Its for the mechanized and motorized brigade.

The development of 3rd Division into a full fledge Combined Arms Division is still in progress. When completed, this division will comprise of an armored brigade (1st Brigade), a mechanized infantry brigade (4th Brigade) and a motorized infantry brigade (7th Brigade). The final composition of 1st Armored Brigade are 2 tank regiments and a mechanized battalion. A tank regiment, 11th KAD, has been designated and waiting to be equipped with PT-91M Main Battle Tank from Poland due to arrive in 2007 would form the basis of the Armored Brigade.

AIFV is just only upgraded version of M113, if all the spaced armour is removed, you will see a M113 hull.

It look bulky becos of the spaced armour which is actually a armour plate with some distance away from the hull, creating a standoff distance from the hull, the same concept as the slat armour or the the bird cage of the Stryker in Iraq.

This will reduce the effect of the penetrator especially HEAT rds.

That's not a combined arms division.

It's a Light Armour Division to me.
In this part of the World. It's counts as an Armoured Division alright.....
