Can anyone tell me why so many Singaporeans still cannot understand
simple maths and logic when our society is so well-educated? Why do
everyone believe that by going to that "lucky" betting station at
that Yishun 7-11, they will stand a higher chance of winning? This
pure NONSENSE!
Simple logic will tell you that a betting station with 10,000 bets
will definitely have more winners than another betting station with
only 100 bets.
And for those who understand probability and statistics, I'm sure
you know that as far as probability goes, it doesnt matter where
you bet because your chances will still be the same...
And for those who still insist that that particular betting station
really gives a higher chance of winning, can you give a good reason
why? Is it because the computers there have the capability of
predicting the winning numbers? You know the answer...
