Difference from a norm lancer n the sports version

All bros out there, need ur help here. wats the diff between a normal mitsu lancer n the sports version. I already check the specs, all look the same only leh.. no diff but the price is atleast 2 to 4k more for the sports version….

From what I've seen (from specs and in the showrooms), the only difference is that the "Sports" version has more accessories - eg. spoilers, more sporty interior, etc. The "Sports" name here is probably used loosely, just for marketing purposes.

There are, however, two versions of Lancers which are true Sports versions. Then 1.8 turbo....and the all famous Evo models. But they are much more expensive than the Lancer and Lancer Sports.

Sports comes with Full Bodykit. Normal don't..

Sports, the tailights, its silver, only the brake LAMPS are red. For normal Lancers, the whole tailights is red. This is the most blatantly obvious ba.

Lastly.. I don't know. Ralliart decal? Very Happy

so the `sports` version is juz the xtra accessories, not bcoz of it perfomance sense.. Thanx .. tis helps alot .. tinking of gettin one sooner or later…

Yeah, the Sports version doesn't refer to the performance specs at all....more refers to "Sporty Look". And it costs quite a few thousand extra too.

But with the body kit, it does look a lot better than the "naked" version.

i tink get normal version then next time if wan then slowly ownself buy a spoil etc is better.. anyway i tink for tt bit of extra stuff they charge so much more not worth it sia..

me is driving the normal lancer. just got it last week. already pretty cool - leather seats & sports rims (not OZ one lah). no spolier also looks sporty.

dun waste money on spoilers - create more drag & turbulence thus consume more petrol.

more of downforce i reckon. well that's why they're called spoilers, they spoil your speed Laughing but all the more racers need them because they allow tyres more grip on the road... we always see F1 cars scrambling for the pits when they have their wings knocked off don't we?

Hahaha.. But does the spoiler really make a lot of difference? I mean, most of the time it's cosmetic.

Actually, people also can argue that some bodykits increase the aerodynamics of the car ah.. like the Celica Action kit.

yah at low speeds below 200 or so, spoilers create more drag than useful down force...
in s'pore almost all put for cosmetic reasons only... unless u can get above 150 then maybe have alittle use..

but above 200kph like in F1, spoilers do make a difference... think in F1 they adjust the angle of it in 0.5 degrees = ~half turns on the screw...

anyway for a FF car not much point on having spoilers on the back... need the xtra traction on the front instead
