Over 10,000 Girl Guides and Brownies celebrated the 90th
year of Girl Guiding in Singapore.
The uniformed girls packed the Singapore Indoor Stadium to
commemorate "World Thinking Day" as well.
"World Thinking Day" is where the guiding community remembers each
other and appreciate the friendships shared.
Joining them were Patron of the World Association of Girl Guides
and Girl Scouts, Mrs S R Nathan, and the Association President Mrs
Teo Chee Hean.
The Girl Guides entertained with performances and songs throughout
the 4-hour long event.
Some also received awards from Mrs Nathan.
The event ended with the blowing out of candles for the 90-year-old
movement here. - CNA /ls
