At the very least the Japanese are still mostly
anti-militaristic because it had been drilled into them all the
suffering the war caused
them
... however unlike the Germans they fail to see the cast amount
of suffering they caused to asia and see it as only as a very
ambigious "regrettable". This is not really optimal.
Of course, not to mention there is this disturbing change in some
of them becoming more confident that Japan should once again have
some military adventures... but China isn't inspiring much
confidence in them as well I suppose.
