Arapahoe SG i recall they did have an article written in the Strait times about it. Try the B.C. Personally my view is, if you wish to joint an military outfit you might want to go into a Main Stream outfit both politically and military.

LazerLordz SG "Although Commonwealth citizens are entitled, on nationality eligibility grounds, to serve in the UK Armed Forces, the Services do not actively market armed forces careers in Commonwealth countries. Selection and recruitment team visits to Commonwealth countries are limited to those locations where numbers of expected applicants justify the effort and where an invitation to conduct visits has been received from the respective Government. Nevertheless, the Services do process applications from Commonwealth citizens who have travelled to the UK at their own volition for such a purpose." http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200304/cmhansrd/vo031218/text/31218w17.htm UK Parliamentary Hansard , 18th Dec 2003. === Number of non-British Commonwealth citizens serving in the UK Regular Armed Forces Singapore (as of 2006) (3) Royal Navy (4) Army (3) Royal Air Force UK Parliamentary Hansard , 11th July 2006 http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200506/cmhansrd/cm060711/text/60711w1582.htm So if you want to sign up, you have to do so in person in UK. http://www.armyjobs.mod.uk/How+do+I+Join/Can+I+Join/Entry+Requirements.htm

LazerLordz SG I would like to know too. Heard of one or two of our boys serving in the US Army Reserve too, after having migrated over. It's only right you serve your new nation too.

Arapahoe SG yeah that is why if anybody want to joint another outfit preferably a main stream outfit. There are plenty of asian in the US army. I known of malayisan in it as well. I received my letter to joint national guard in 88. I think if i did sign up I would be in Desert Shield/Storm. My uni had a lot of marine reserve they had to stop the semester.
