Sad, CNA reporting a UH-1H crashed and put up a picture of an AH-1 COBRA instead of a Huey.....

Sheesh. Rolling Eyes

Pitot SG

erm, its very common. In the aviation field. Like calling a 757 a 777 etc.

sgf SG

If Straits Times can call a MP5 a MACHINE GUN and a shotgun a rifle, I guess this is nothing. Rolling Eyes

Texcoco II SG

yeah, just like that guy who complained in STOMP that he saw a police officer carrying a machinegun (MP5) unsightly Rolling Eyes

moca SG

How do you describe a group of soldiers or insurgents armed with automatic rifles?

SG civilian media will desvribe them as being 'heavily-armed'

However, the military people would describe this same group of men as 'ightly-armed'

ditzy SG

Anyone carrying just a rocket launcher would be termed "a one-man army". Laughing

fallin SG

Its all relative. Compared to a bunch of unarmed civiians of course these people are heavily armed. But compared to a combined arms division...

idwar SG

I've got only water pisstole now.............got chance to handle SLR last time......long long time ago.... ' Crying or Very sad '

sta1100 SG

the picture show is a Bell UH-1, not a AH-1.

beavan SG

^^ Obersturmfuhrer got owned.

Manager433 SG

Ish it one of ours? I remember ST sold off some of our retire UH-1 to philippines.

storm_freaky13 SG

IIRC they reported the chopper snagged power lines.

could be mechanical fault as well. but i remembered they showed the correct picture.

tchiew SG

Seems you are the one who misrepresented CNA!!! Picture is definitely a UH-1H, not a Cobra. Look closely Shocked

soulwinner SG

oh... Mr. Green

Obersturmfuhrer SG

My friend, they've already changed the image to that of the crashed chopper. Prior to that, it was the picture of an airborne AH-1 COBRA. I dun need to look closely. Rolling Eyes

KKK84 SG

I second tat. They changed the pic.

airgrinder SG

ya remembered the virgina tech shooting incident, during newsflash they mentioned gunman shot dead 32 and himself with a 9mm and a 22mm!!

I was like !!! Super big pistol round?? keke

Normal lah. Not easy to manage so much info flying around manz...

sta1100 SG

On the paper it show a UH-1 do you have the orginal picture with the AH-1

spartan6 SG

Shocked 22mm Laughing

SingaporeTyrannosaur SG

I think it was supposed to be .22, but somehow it became 22mm. Laughing

Not all our guys who write our news are military buffs, maybe the orginal writers heard that a "Huey" crashed, though it was the "Huey Cobra" part, and simply googled and put up whatever image he could find on it.
