Uh uh, praticality over apperance, the current digital cammies
are far more effective at hiding the soldier over a large range of
environments... and that is a rather important edge.
If one wants to look like a "real soldier" might as well march into
battle with Napoleonic wars uniform, or better, run into battle
with nothing but your helmet, underwear and red cape like the
Spartans in 300 (though
actual Spartans had more pratical wear).
