Goondu86 SG there was a reporter whose handphone saved him from a shot as well, can't remember the details. p.s: hp used to sell ipods, tie in with apple, in return they get to brand it.
mrwonderful SG i read the current US vest can withstand up to an AK bullet, so yeah this US soldier probably trying to get a free ipod by emailing to everyone and misleading them
Ponders SG Luckily in US Army. In Singapore Army.. i think when he goes back camp.. first thing RSM do is give him extra for bringining IPOD outfield.
ditzy SG knn, if it was a fake polo ralph lauren polo tee that stopped the guy from being killed, there will be kudos all around too.
DarthBart SG Those rating are based on velocity Something like rated for 7.62mm at xxxxfps If at point blank range, there's still a chance the round has enough KE to penerate the armour
SingaporeTyrannosaur SG The Interceptor system with SAPI (which is what they use) can stop a normal point blank AK shot with no problems, unless they are using AP rounds... In which case the Ipod would have done little.
tankfanatic SG iraqi AK47 using russian hollow dum dum rounds. Its deadly if enter your body but breaks into pieces when hit ceramic plate.
