Japs F-15J is very basic version notably lack of capability to launch AMRAAM. Theyre upgrading their F-15J fleet to F-15C/APG-63 standard since 2004. But i...

well i thought this would be a nice pic to share, i got it off wikipedia.

personally was unaware that singapore had possesion of the f-15's already, thought it was arriving in a few more years.

but anyway.

if i remember correctly, our F-15s will only be build after the Korean's order is done; only one factory line in the US or something....

So....maybe that's just a PS pic?

Edit: estimated deliveryl is about mid-08 , based in US (SIC aussie Ftr pilot (magoo)on LDF forums).

Until then...our F-16C/Ds shall hold the line....

what i was thinking, or maybe some us marketing thing, but looks pretty good for a photo shop

In my professional opinion (though I could be wrong), it is a PS job...

Observe the Lion logo at the nose, and you'll realize that the black is a lot more saturated then the other hues of black in the picture...

Though if it is an indication of things to come, still a cool picture nevertheless.

Sing's F-15's will only come off the production line in 2008, therefore there is no way there are any pic of inflight or production RSAF F-15s available ...except in PS.

The pic in wikipedia is the official Boeing pic illustration of a RSAF's Eagle, you can also see this same pic in Boeing's website.

cld simply be a US F-15 that we’re renting for training or a publicity shot by Boeing so they just painted it in?

Pitot SG

This is an artist impression. Boeing does this for every major order they have.. be it civil or military…

Nuad SG

ah i see, thanks for the info. anyone know where the f 15's will be based though? plab? cos the skyhawk sqn was there?

well they may be based overseas for training before they come back like the apaches perhaps

definitely pho-shopped.

the lion logo is just too obvious. the flag was nicely done though

calvin2224 SG

It’s definitely an artist’s impression. It was so stated with the official press announcement then.
