That is one MAIN source of pollution.
Most of worlds electricity come from fossil-fuel power plants,
which burned gas and coal, adding millions of tonnes of CO2 and
other pollutants into the atmosphere. And CO2 is the major
greenhouse gas that is casuing global warming.
In China alone, over half of the electricity come from coal-fired
power plants,
also called "dirty power" as its adds so much CO2 and
pollutions.
Which is why everyone is pointing fingers to China right now.
Same for most developing countries.
Thus the solution right now is to cut power-usage and
also find better alternative power sources, eg biofuel, solar,
wind, hydro-power.
Well, in simple terms, the PC, lightings, air-con u use, all come
from BURNING gas and coals, hundreds , thousands of millions of
tonnes of it in Singapore alone each year (im guessing this
figure).
