hahaha... Its a gd form of parody. though the parody content is rather dry and lacking in depth. But still quite fun to watch wat...

Ya, I also want to complain.

Especially since it is a state company.

Since it is a state company, it should express and represent the society, not the desires of a small group.

Too much copying western shows.....Dance Floor....Girls Out Loud....copycats.

I wish they can be more creative and come up with indigenious concepts relevant to Singapore.

Dun need to create a new script from beginning, just get title from some great novel, change a bit, then OK liao. Have a very good story le.

So simple, why they dunno?

A Step into the Past also from novel, The Twin of Two Brothers also from novel. These two are good show with great story. Why can't Singapore produce these kind of great show?

Mediacorp always talk machiam like their shows very popular outside, but dun look like it leh.

When I looked at the topic I though the discussion was about literature. But then... Laughing

Dunno issit lack of good writers, or complete lack of taste when it comes to script selection... Rolling Eyes

... Or maybe the original script was funny, but some smarty pants decided to edit out the good parts ("undesirable") in every episode and the scenes all fell flat.

...Oooor maybe it's because the censor dudes holding the pair of scissors are still 'snipper-happy'!!

...Orrrrr mayyyybe the good scriptwriters are tired of having their good ideas mutilated in the name of "clean" TV and have moved abroad!

Heck maybe it's all of the above combined! Mr. Green

Ya, HK & Korea can churn out very interesting dramas like the recent Sweet Potato Boy & channel 55 shows. Though Korean dramas may have same storyline like rich boy meets poor girl but at least the scenery is beautiful & the actors & actresses are good looking & dress very well.

Mediacorp only have boring makan shows & programs like Super Host, Project Superstar where they don't have to do anything, just ask people to vote.

Also keep seeing the same old faces in same old roles. I'm getting sick of seeing Elvin, Felicia, Ivy, Brian, Michelle, Xiang Yun on tv almost every night.
The storylines are so predictable, the location shot always in HDB, the actresses wear very ah lian clothes & carry the same old handbags throughout the whole show.
