From wad I heard and seen, the water bag that SAF gave out is quite lousy. You guys can try to order Camelbak through your company.

BMTC recuits getting it now for those like me either swop for it or use the old 1

SingaporeTyrannosaur SG

I just got my own set recently, to replace my SBO for ICT.

Cool piece of it, can put a lot more stuff on it then you can with the SBO, and also can customize for your various roles... SAW gunner can carry more mags and so on and so forth...

Only thing it is obviously heavier, but not by much as the weight is properly spread out... it is also hotter, obviously, but it's no oven.

norm SG

Is it bullet proof?

|-|05| SG

swop with store or u were issued?or did u buy it at the emart Very Happy

SingaporeTyrannosaur SG

No I went to beach road to buy... my SBO was coming apart anyway... but I don't recommend you follow my path if you can get a free issue, cos it's kinda ex.

Is it bullet proof?

Not unless you wear body armor under it...

SpecOps87 SG

Curious, will you be able to insert ballistic plates into the vest itself? Or is the vest simply just like a hold-all?

SingaporeTyrannosaur SG

Nah, no place to insert ballistic plates... I think it's just part of the entire setup that will eventually by SOP for our troops. The whole body armour package, plates and all will probably be the vest itself (and inserted there), which the load bearing part of the equipment will be the LBV...

And yeah, it can hold almost anything you could need in the field, as long as you equip it with the right pouches. And it dosen't jangle like your SBO when you run.

Moonstriker SG

how to swap the old one for the new one ar? o.0
