since you've made a conscious decision to take H2 Maths and Phy.. and wanna pursue egine after A's...
it's time you need to buck up with your Add Maths firstly, get the foundation right and keep in step with H2 maths
I agree it will be tough, not only intially but throughout... but many people before you have done it.. so why not you?
Just persevere and ask your college tutors if in doubt,

muz have a maths one…A maths basically trains u for critical thinknig…if ur standard is still stuck at sec 4 e maths…ur gonna have a very hard time catching up becuase…..sec 4 e maths is very very very basic and u aint gonna get that in jc..=/ u muz work very hard lo…..

it will be hard, since it is now called H2 Maths. Some F Maths topics are transferred to H2 Maths. Like finding angles of 3-D Vectors, Regression and Collrelation (This also appeared in H1 as well :evil Smile , among others.

Dont take H2 Maths, unless you really like Maths and you dont have any other H2 subjects to choose from. Many Engineering courses in Unis now only require a H1 Pass in Maths (that's the minimumof course, you need to do well in others subjects la, that's why you need to choose your subjects to read carefully).

I really have to take H2 math even though I have to struggle, if not I'm closing the doors of a lot of courses in the uni.

I don't know about the old system, since I'm the pioneer batch to take this H1/H2 thing (my A's are this year), so whether anyone have survived H2 maths without prior experience in A Maths is unknown yet. Twisted Evil

But I would say it is the content and not the skills that you would need to master. I suggest taking 4 H2 subjects even after the 1st 3 months and wait and see if the NUS or NTU would release the new requirements for courses (we still don't know how marks are calculated under the new system). If you can't cope by the end of JC1, consider dropping maths (or something else) to H1, provided it doesn't prevent you from entering your desired uni course.

Borrow AMaths notes from your friends - I'm assuming that a lot of people around you took AMaths.

Get them to tuition you. Mr. Green

Borrow the Ten Year Series and practice.

It would not be easy at first, but at some point, everything would be understood eventually. This happened to me at my O levels when I suddenly grasped my AMaths.

Mathematics at academic level is not difficult.

If you look at it, everything are but some symbols, diagrams, concepts and formulae.

hahas take h1 math.. i suppose you’re familiar with the jc syllabus right? h1 math is about the standard of that of e math back in secondary school (seriously) the gap between h1 and 2 is quite large.. so try h1 math.. still in 1st 3 mths anyway right? you have all the time =)
