huiz SG dont worry your mouth will get accustomed to the cutting that you wouldnt find it a pain in future. which dentist did you go to? so good, clean your teeth at every visit.
mystee SG embrace dental at international building... i tink he is an orthodontist. but how i wish he can be gentle when cleaning my teeth.. very pain lor...
cAr|n SG if u feel really uncomfortable u can ask him to check for u... could be the little wires sticking out that rubbing against your lips and gums... if that's the case he can help to twist the wires a little neater so that they don't stick out so much after a while u'll get used to it lah... your teeth will slowly adjust to accommodate the metal bands.... it always feels a bit swollen for the first few days then it's ok for the next few weeks until u go for the nxt appointment bear with it.... when your teeth is straightened it'll be very nice and no more discomfort!! jia you!!

gLc SG First few months i ulcer also alot. Gums did swell, and it hurt, alot. But i those bo chap type, cant be bothered one. After a few months, bout 3 months, everything was ok le. Dont worry, 2 years pass very fast one !
cAr|n SG every appointment to tighten braces will results in a few days of pain.... not acute pain but those swollen swollen kind of pain that gives u a headache my braces took me about 1.5 years i think... i go to the dentist faithfully every month... if u skip and drag ur appointments u're going to need to wear it longer i now barely remember the pain

mystee SG ya lor.. it took my tonnes of courage to go for braces.. then after taking the xray.. he told me i have to go for operation to take out the "dead" teeth in my gum to do my lower teeth.. i was still considering to just do upper teeth.. or just bare the pain to do the whole set.. haiz
