Do you think a car in singapore is necessary ??

i'm a person who takes public transport and only drives twice a week!

a car is necessary if the journey frm Point A to B is not congested. (just take the rightmost lane and gooo!!!)

a car is NOT necessary if the journey frm Point A to B is congested. (buses have bus lanes, even full day bus lanes.. trains run underground and avoid all congestion. slow traffic only tires you down)

COE, road tax, insurance, season parking, cashcard, petrol, servicing........ monthly instalments.

car is not necessary in Singapore. but if u love cars and love to drive, u’ll still buy it. like me. its rather expensive though..i spend more then 1.5k every month on car/driving expenses..sometimes i feel isnt it better if i save that 1.5K every month.

no need car.

even with public transport, you most probably wont take anymore than 2 hours to get to wherever you wanna go.

my aunt has to drive 2 hours to get to work every morning. and thats on a good day.

wah...from where to where..it took me 15 mins to drive to work...TPE is good!
if i take train it will be 2 hrs..change here change there...stilll must take bus..still need to walk

There rich and poor ppl here, anyway it’s depend when u buy yr car and how often you use it. Now at this point, the price is much lower compare to few years back. It’s also depend where you work, if in CBD, I think you better take cab. And if you have kids, then it’s even more useful. The point is having a car is to cut down time wasted on wait bus or cab, on the other words is you r using $$ to buy time and car is just a tool.

Those ppl is like “monkey see, monkey do”. See so many of their friends have car they also wan. Then the population of car in singapore will bcum more and more. Tat is why every morning and evening, you’ll see traffic jams.

i don tik owning a car is necessary. as in, we are not living in a big country like america where we have to drive to get to the places we want.. somemore owning a car in singapore is so expensive. have to pay for this and that.. not worth it la..
