Bollywood stars want to appear fair (they even bleach their facial hairs) because their caste system has always been that the Aryans (fairer-skinned Indians) are at the top of the food chain.. in other words, they're considered high-class.. or the "Elite". Aryan-Indians are not Caucasian or trying to look it, they're just naturally fair and that has always been the most desired look.
