Sorry i am not a pilot, can't be of help. But one thing is for sure, there will not be fixed working hours and days just like any SAF regular.

Why is the hour irregular? erm it is obvious i never go army b4...

Why there is irregular timing is simply due to on standby. The enemy won't tell you when they are coming you know. Very Happy

Oversea training include USA,France and Australia. There are frequent exercises with other air forces too such as the recent one with Indian Air Force.

is it true that death of trainee isn't reported in news?

Any person know what is the death rate like for pilot?

im not so sure whether i can even pass through the initial round, just asking for career choices.

The only recent death of a pilot in the RSAF was in May 2004, during that F16 accident. Prior to that, the RSAF had quite a commendable safety record.
The accident was published in the news. I don't think at this current time, any incident especially if there is death will ever be covered up, because the media would probrably get their hands on it in no time. Its prob wiser for them not to withhold too much details.

Bro, Isis is a lady who wish to sign on as a pilot so she does get to choose which vocation she wants. However, whether RSAF wants to accept her or not is another matter. Very Happy

Haha! Well you can sign up for civilian pilot, then you can plan your overseas shopping spree or holiday! As civilian pilot you get to fly to cities and towns while as an air force pilot you mainly visit uninhabited training grounds such as the deserts in USA. So whats your choice? Very Happy

Nobody died what. I think that was the question asked. Of course throughout the history of RSAF there will be people losing their lives unfortunately, likewise goes for all the armed services around the world.

Hi, pilots don't have the kind of lifestyle as portrayed by Top Gun. Lots of paperwork and plenty of flying. Flying is irregular hours. Can be very early or very late. No such thing as what the recruiters say as sitting there lim kopi and just fly. And junior pilots frequently kanna ADFAF (I think that's how it is spelled), in other words, standby duty. Lots of overseas trip to fly, not to have fun and target flying hours must be accomplished at all costs. Hope this helps.
