what im saying is we all know china is good in sports.and its sad to see us giving them citizenship coz we want them to play for us..thats like play cheat...there i dont feel anything when they win..i just dont see them as fellow singaporeans...

im not anti china...im anti them if they come here and dont want to speak English at WORK...i feel they should make an effort to learn English and not ask me whether i can speak mandarin .. Confused

FTs are brought in to inject life back into the sport.SIngapore is not the only one doing that in near future you will surely find FTs in Malaysia &Thailand also. The thing is…..if want to cheat must cheat properly mah..get really talented players to play for Singapore. There are many good young players from Africa,Americas or even Australia.Money can buy Victory so dont go and look for kucing kurap FTs anymore.

mind u, yesterday we won becos that prc guy (plus one?)scored dat decisive penalty for us and saved us the shame.

i sensed the coach can be pretty evil, should that china guy failed to score, i will forseen every one of us will start pointing finger dat prc pple sux. Laughing

The fact is that we achieved victory over the Malaysians.

Lets face it, no matter what achievement Singapore has, People will always say that it is that we depend on foreign talent, have political leverage or a multitude of resons.

What if we lose? People will just say that we deserve it... or that Singapore should abandon its soccer because it is not up to par etc.

The bottom line is many people just have a thing against Singapore. The biaseness is evident here.

My view? KUDOS TO ALL SINGAPORE SUPPORTERS AND OF COURSE OUR SOCCER TEAM... U all do us proud.

798 SG

yes, we squeezzeeee past the malays, but keep in mind we can only beat them thru penalty shootout. the fact dat we do not payback by winning them in normal time, and the fact dat the thrashing of 4-0 still haunt us in 2002.

we may be surviving due to the fact we have help from FTs, they on the other hand fought well yesterday. this make me feel that they are the better teams.

Wah Lao!!

PK win leh. PK is all about luck, the judgemnt of GK and the deception of the kicker lor. Like you buy 4D, you win is because you are lucky, not because you got skill.

Anyway, ownage and pwnage in soccer is decided during the 90 mins play time. If the win-lose situation is decided by PK, then it should be considered as lucky.

who gives a damn about SHE. only unpatriotic idiots will choose SHE over SINGAPORE.

Hello, friend. The last time we played England was a 7-0 defeat and it was in the 70s.

Our biggest defeat was 9-0 to Burma, and that was in the 1960s.

GET your FACTS right before anyhow whacking lah.

or are you mistaking it for the 8-1 loss we had when we played against Man Utd?

OO_OO_OO SG

So did you cheer for Man United when they score the goals rather than Singapore getting that goal?

LazerLordz SG

it's the opposite. Since when did ASEAN football matter to people in Europe? Laughing

With reference to my earlier post about not being proud of this victory, I don't dare claim it as my own when I don't even follow the local football league scene, much less give it my support. This is brusque of me to say, but there are a significant number of fair-weather fans among those who cheered last night. I don't want to catch myself becoming one.

No discredit to the team though, especially since Lewis bounced back from the setbacks.
