rane SG hi, luvme orhate me, wow, they are terrible to make u pay this way. did u ask them why they send this sort of charge to u? Let's see if they will do the same to me or not. Thanks for telling me. Why they are treating customers this way don't they know competition is fierce among banks for the credit card business. Anyway, this was not the 1st time I encountered problem with them. So nothing's gonna change my mind about their bad service. Have u considered using other credit cards from other banks? HSBC credit card is worthwhile to consider. They are offering much better than UOB. They offer $1 to $1, subscription for classic is only $36 per annum and needs 36,000 to waive annual fees. Provide free supplement card. When time is ripe I will switch to HSBC. Besides, this cardholders will be given compliment card which will allow u to enjoy benefit while shopping .
dragg SG i once missed payment by more than a week. i called the ocbc hotline when they sent me the bill for late payment. they waived it out of goodwill. go ocbc, go!!!!
wallie SG I think you need to pay by the due date, means you must ensure that the money reaches them by the due date..so actually they didn't fault on their part. It's entirely up to them and it will be purely goodwill if they decide to waive it for you. But yes I admit their hotline service is quite bad. Some officers were downright rude. Having said that, there were two which shone. One her name is Sharon Kaur, another guy, Mrk (sounds Filipino). The others not very responsible, including this ah-qua sounding one.
rane SG Thanks, wallie. Anyway, I have decided to terminate the card once the time comes. I have enough of their bad service. There are many other banks out there competing in the credit card business so I don't see the need to continue with them - UOB. They don't care to improve their service, don't care about providing good service to customers - it is their loss. There are other banks which care to provide good service, and I am giving these banks a try!! Good luck to me and you!!

rane SG Wow, hail OCBC!!!! just found out that UOB also charge very high for late payment - $45 and HSBC's charge is only $30. Well, I will think about which to sign up when the time comes! Thanks.
