Well the nice thing about the PLA is that they can clone some of the more mundane pieces of military technology for vastly lower prices.

I remember china super soakers being nearly as good as the american ones and vastly cheaper (not to mention more reliable and easier to replace) Smile

When I was in toy shop and saw many toy helicopters , planes and guns ... the stamp stated "Made in China" and there are pictures of US GI, Apache, Tomcat and even US aircraft carrier..

This show China is jealous of US military superiority yet they acknowledge it..

Gulf War 1 was the wake up call for the PLA.

Not only are they copying US in terms of weapons, dress etc. They are also copying their tactics.

Actually I don't think any armed forces in the world dispute that the US has the strongest military.

But hey, I don't see any other prudent thing for the PLA to do either then to adopt and copy ideas that the yanks have shown to work. What did you expect them to do? Reinvent the wheel?

It shows there are idiots worships the image of US soldiers and Chinese toy makers are smart to take advantage of it.

Like the old saying goes, fools and money are soon parting.

China is also the biggest maker of Christmas decorations including Jesus images. According to your logic, it means Chinese are devout Christians and worship Jesus.

I hope your parents didn't pay through their nose for your education, they are not getting their money's worth.

Imagine you're an angmo speaking no chinese in China.

You get beaten up and robbed. You shout for passerbys to call the police. But when you say "police, police" - no one will know what you are talking about.

But if you know that police is called "gong an" or "jincha", then people would at least know how to help you.

But we do tend to make fun of things we don't understand.
