Colt Plus Anyone?

Apollo_sg SG

u r one unhappy owner of a lemon.

how did u come across tat it crawl like tortoise? did u actually test drive it? u r aware it has a CVT engine which btw is not exactly gg to give u the omph in terms of pickup. with CVT, u hv to b lightfooted.

MIVEC does not kick in when u rev immediately. it goes something like 3.5K rpm.

I wun b surprised if u get only 8-9km/l on the initial run in. try to be gentle n patient with it, and u will b rewarded. it has a newer engine then previous model so FC will b better.

If u r still facing problem with ur car, do let me know and I'll try to connect u with the right pple to sort things out for u.

Thanks. I have learnt to ignore these pain. Thank you.

Saw COE dropped, sad....haiz...

Apollo_sg SG

nothing to b sad abt.. i've paid $80K so ur pain is really nothing

but just to tell u, things can b resolved thru the right channel.

my mum bought the first gen colt ....and within 30mins she told us she shld have bought the suzuki liana(nvm whether is it good or not)

it seems the problems with the engine remains with the colt plus

when we drove off a slope, my dad always complain abt the high revs of the engine and the car barely moves an inch...

haiz...

It is not that I dont like my car, just that her behavior and problems really upset me a lot.

Within 30mins she had made such a decision, so kiang..... really ying siong shuo jian lei tong "heroes share the same view"

Handgunner,

hi kingkong_1234,

Sorry to know that u have so much complains abt ur CP. Do drop by the forum address i posted. the pple inside maybe able to help u sort out some problems.

Apollo_sg SG

well, it does get to a crawl with CVT, and auto trans, but just to add. how many pple were in the car?

its a 4 gear engine. with more pple, u hv to downswift for better torque but once u get gg, it should b relatively easy. CVT actually works much better upslope than most gearbox.

i think most pple hold the wrong view that u hv to rev hard to make it move. it doesn't. the ecu monitors wat u do. when u high rev, it does not actually open circuit and go full throttle, nebermind wat other gearbox does. it compares against the ECU mapping and think u made a mistake and dump the input.

the open throttle only works when u r driving, possibly irratic pattern and once u hard pedal, it sense ur urgency and operate the mivec.

so to underline, b gentle with the car. it will respond nicely to u.

Well doesn't mean that we are happy in our forum that we got to restrict ourself to it.

we got to have a open have a open mind to look at thing in different angles and views.

for example:-

why do singaporean go for hoildays if they like singapore so much ? same theory.

we are just trying to promote awareness among colt owners that there's such a forum that all colt owners gathers to share information. dun see anything wrong in promoting our forum. we all wanna the best for our car since we had already paid so much for it. since there's a forum that shares experience and discussion on the same car, i dun see why we would not want other colt owners to know abt it.

yourself too reads alot of other forums, why not let other knows abt other forums ? i believe u still does read our forum.

okie my 'expert' might be misleading. let me rephased my sentense again.

"There are knowledgable CP owner that might be able to help."

hope that this address your problem and not bring predjuice against other forums.

aiya.. i type 2 lines niah niah... you dun hv to post so long answer lah. of cos i not trying to suggest anything lah, tat 1 is the job of moderator whether u got flout their rules anot, i no hiew mah... but the point abt you paif for the car. i mean you paid for the car, but you did not pay for forum mah, I dun undertstand why you link $$ to this qn.
