How can you not know about this traffic rule? Didn't you get your license in Singapore?

Instead of blaming the TP for not catching others, ask yourself did you or did you not break a traffic rule? If so, why can't the TP fault you? Does paying more income tax allow you dis-regard the traffic laws? Prehaps you should get a copter instead, and fly you to your location without hassel from the TPs.

If you think Singapore TPs bad try malaysian tp.
They cannot even do simple maths at all.

In a one lane road, two cars are travel very close to each other.
Car A in front is traveling at 120km per hour and Car B behind is traveling at 135km without braking.
What will happen in 5 mins if car B is following car A very closely without braking?
The malaysian was so dumb that he refuse to admit he is wrong and inist he want to book my friend and later ask for more money...
So many case of asking of money from Malaysian side tp that I no longer believe is about breaking rules anymore.

Sadly for Singapore side tp there is such a thing call "qouta not hit". If you are not happy with the tp officer the best thing to do legaly is to get his name, his bike number down. Do not fight with him when he book you, just pretend to say nice things or else the more points he gives you the more u kena.

If u are rich, call a lawyer to sue him, if not u can go to the complain department to complain about him.
The more complains he have, the less chances of him getting promoted.

Singapore tp still respect the law but they are only human. They got mouths to fed as you and me. They need to fullfill their qouta every month, or else they will kena complain. Is a job nothing personal.

What I was trying to say was, the other car should be speeding at about the same speed as me, and why that bloody TP booked me instead, simply I think he was not happy with my car, do you get the point? I never said I was not in the wrong, but I am just venting my frustration of unfair treatment, thats all

Have you ever seen TP speeding and waving through the traffic with no bloody reason, do you know why, because of their dam bloody ego, and did you remember that some dam stupid TP BMW crashed into a broke down vehicle and kill some stop by helper. Do you really so innocent to believe that those bloody idiots are really so holly to be TP because they are concern about road safety, or they are just simply getting the chance to speed legally? Maybe the TP was really biased against u, I do not know… But it remains a fact that changing lane without signaling isa traffic offence and this was reported even on Straits Times, hence u indeed have commited an offence and the TP reserves the rights to apprehend u.

TP usually gives an allowance of +10 km/h (but there are some really strict ones) and since u said both of u were initially travelling at 90km/h the car next to u probably speed up to 100km/h while u overtook him by more than 121km/h (u were quite certain that u were far beyond that) hence if u minus off the allowances given, u would have been deemed to be the one speeding... I know your car is really powerful and reaching excess of 100km/h is an easy feat but that's no excuse to speed so much that if the TP had clocked u for your original speed (> 121km/h), u would have been summoned to courts... The TP only has one car/bike, and he can only book one vehicle at one time. By comparison with the car next to you, your speed is deemed to be "insanity"... I admit that I am no saint on the road, but well just live on and accept the fact that u've been rightfully booked...

So if u have been part fo the group that wasn’t caught, u would have been in the group that have been lucky to escape. Since u were caught, there’s nuttin to complain since u have indeed broken the rule… Its just purely a matter of he see who first then catch who lo… u can’t expect him to multiply himself and start catching every offender at one go… Whenever we escape from punishment for doing something wrong, it is considered as lucky, but when we get punished, its something that we just deserve and not simply we are unlucky or anything… Yes there was a whole lot of cars who have committed the same offence, and yes perhaps he has indeed specially picked on u to catch u first, but in the first place if u had done no wrong, he would have no chance to pick on u at all

i dunno whether you guys are aware of this fact, i myself also still trying to verify, dunno whether it's really true, you guys may want to check it out if interested

which is, this term "road hogging" applies only to slow heavy vehicles (lorries, vans, trailers, cement mixer) and doesn't apply to cars, in other words only heavy vehicles can be penalized under DIPS if caught "road hogging"

for cars, appropriate term to use is "slow driving", and till now, there hasn't been any law against slow driving in singapore

whether slow driving leads to inconsiderate obstruction is merely circumstantial, that is why till now it is still not considered a traffic offence

Yes, there has been an admission in another thread. But I don't wish to harp on that here 'cos all I'm saying on this thread is that the TP was unnecessarily being a pain, and if you don't agree, some contructive comments would be preferred.

Whether you are those who cursed me in one way or another, or those who tried to reason it out with me, thanks very much and sorry for stirring up the augment here. Somehow, I was extremely pissed with the incident at that moment, but I have calmed down.

Anyway, I had paid the fine online yesterday and I have absolutely no intension to appear or complain against the TP. He was doing his job and I admit that I was certainly at fault.

But last of all, I just want to share with all of you why I was so frustrated because I know the ugly side behind the scene. Well, I am not going to liberate why I know, but I can swear to any god or devil that its from my real life personal experience. Many or I wont hesitate to use the word almost all, of the authority personal are simply sadistic that they enjoy legally torturing others in the name of their holly mission, and they really enjoy such joy.

Whether you understand what I am trying to put across here, or you are still so naïve to get agitated, its up to you. I will not reply or post in this forum anymore.

I totally agree with you, it's just that your example wasn't exactly the most vindicating... (sorry to have to say that).

Let me give another example. My friend just drove out of a car park and was about to put on the seat belt. TP was just a few metres ahead and issues him a ticket despite his explanations. How reasonable is that?
