i’d like to enquire what happens when the contract ends? just continue with it on a non-contractual basis? all the promotions are only applicable for new subscribers, and there seems to be no incentive at all for existing ones.

if you dont make a cancellation they will extend the contract when they send the bill.

when is their HDTV is coming....... Sad

After ur contract expires, you have the choice of renewing or carry on their service on a non-contractual basis. you will then be paying based on the plan that you have chosen previously...

Along the way, u see good promo, you can do a re-contract, as they calls it...But this only can be done at Starhub Shops: Plaza Sing, Tampines Mall, OUB centre...

It is already released on trial....When it will come to the rest of us, not very sure yet...Enquire at Starhub outlets.. Mr. Green

My HDTV trial is supposed to have ended in december, but somehow I'm still able to watch all the channels, I think they forgot to take back the set top box or something. Laughing

thanks guys for the feedback.

as i've said, so far the promotions are only applicable to new subscribers. with regards to the suggestion on terminating and resubscribing, it means i'm liable for the installation fees etc once more. and also, for example the current LG portable dvd player, the terms and conditions state that even new subscribers who just terminated earlier are also not eligible.

This is because they want a lapse of few weeks I believe.

Call Starhub or visit their websites..From what I understand (I use to work for one of the Starhub dealers) their ads are usually to attract new subscribers...Present one have to check..sometimes got same or other promos..

I dunno where u got the above from...so u might want to check...

U dun have to terminate ur present acct...they just continue from the current one...

angrynor SG

starhub got HDTV trial also?

i didnt know that le.. thought only MDA has it with mediacorp?

yah sometimes they have different promos for existing customers whose contracts have lapsed and some of them can be quite attractive also... they will call u up i guess.... they aim my MaxOnline contract extension for some time liao Laughing

as for why new promos are not available to customers who sign terminate contracts recently, it's becos they don't want customers to keep terminating and signing up just to grab the new promos

by the way most promos also waive off installation charge i think... but i'm not very sure cos haven't been looking for some time already Wink
