Be careful, the 2001 and 2002 M3 engines have some defect and many have blown up. Read about it at www.m3forums.com

I had an 04 with SMG, the car is great but if I did it over again, I would buy it without SMG. Alas, I had to sell it when I moved here this year...

If you are INDEED an M3 owner, you would know that the 2001 and 2002 M3s have something called a "rod-bearing recall". The cars were all taken back to the dealer to have their rod-bearings replaced. On top of that, the 01 and 02 cars that went through the recall have an EXTENDED warrenty of 6 years and 100000km.

That is the "official" colour of the m3, just like mica blue for the 22b, sonic blue for th r-34. Laughing

There isn't really an official colour for the E46 M3. The first time it was shown, it sported Chrome Shadow, and you can't even get that colour on the M3.

There are other colours unique to the E46 M3 like Laguna Seca Blue and Imola Red, similarly like Pheonix Yellow.
